Prepare Las Vegas Guillotines

Occupy Las Vegas is happening on Thursday, October 6th at 3pm in front of the New York, New York Casino.  Participants have permission to park in the NY, NY garage, though signs and masks are prohibited inside.
But what is this about, and what do these protesters hope to accomplish?  While you might get several different answers from people about what they are mad about, you’ll find one message they all agree on.  The power and influence of money in politics in the United States has produced a government that serves the top 1% more than the other 99%.
The Las Vegas group has produced a mission statement you can find here on their website.  It expresses the grievances that many share in succinct detail.  It also offers the solution in general terms.  The idea is to move the nation in a direction and to get a real conversation and a real change going.
