The reasons for the spike in Afghan women self-immolating, whether deliberate or "accidental," can be debated but make no mistake, in either case, it's all sharia. Whether they commit suicide due to abuse and beatings sanctioned by Islamic law or they are honor killed, living under the sharia is brutal, oppressive, deadly.
