I've headlined two articles that chronicle the fall of the USA. We need to face up to the reality that the USA has already fallen. It is already a pariah nation and we are being royally screwed. Part of the "screwing" involves the media-enabled dumbing down and brain-deadening of the American people. I wrote yesterday about how this affects conservatives-- Right Wing Brain Shut-down-- Super-Pacs depend on it. Democrats Don't Get it  

But readers pointed out that the same is true of many Democrats. It's going to take some serious activism to wake people up. Rooting for Obama and his Democratic party enablers won't do it. I'm not saying you should not vote for Obama or Democrats, especially if you are in swing states. But there's no way that voting for Obama and Democrats in congress is going to make a dent in the problems we face.
