Cannibal Cop Cries in Court

It only took one day for the New York City cannibal cop’s attorney to rest his case and place former police officer Gilberto Valle’s fate in the hands of the jury. This made Valle, who has been charged with plotting to kidnap, cook, and eat women, very emotional, and he cried in court as the trial came to an end. The defense argued that Valle’s plots, which were detailed in Internet chats and emails and read aloud in court, were nothing more than “pure fiction.” Whether the jury—likely scarred by a virtual tour of DarkFetishNet.com to which the defense lawyers subjected them—agrees remains to be seen.
