David Theo Goldberg, Truthout: "Romney's
perceived inauthenticity flows from this drive to fabricate, to make up
and to make believe whenever ideas fail him, or he is confronted by a
contradictory commitment while pandering to a different electorate from
some previous campaign, or in another part of the country. As the
indecisive Decider, he needs to look as though he is in complete
command, so as not to lose face, even when the consequences of his
(policy) choices are so self-evidently disastrous."
