Pamela Geller strikes back at NY Times for tying her to Oslo shooter Matthew Boyle, Daily Caller
Conservative blogger and anti-jihadist Pamela Geller told The Daily Caller it’s “outrageous” that she’s been “assign[ed] blame” for Oslo shooter Anders Behring Breivik’s actions.
“It’s like equating Charles Manson, who heard in the lyrics of Helter Skelter a calling for the Manson murders,” Geller said in an exclusive phone interview. “It’s like blaming the Beatles. It’s patently ridiculous.
Breivik went on a bombing and shooting spree in and near the Norwegian capital on Friday, leaving more than 60 people dead. The death toll estimates have changed several times over the past few days, ranging from 68 to 76 to more than 90. Breivik, who is now in Norwegian custody and pled “not guilty” in court on Monday, left behind what the media has labeled a “manifesto.”
In the manifesto, Breivik cites Geller and other anti-Jihadists as sources for his inspiration. The appearance earned Geller and company a lashing at the hands of The New York Times and many other mainstream media outlets. Reporters have scoured Breivik’s writings, in his manifesto and elsewhere, looking for a connection to anti-jihad activists like Geller.
Geller points out that while she and Jihad Watch’s Robert Spencer appear in Breivik’s manifesto, so do several influential historical thinkers. For instance, the New Yorker reports that Breivik cites Thomas Hobbes, John Locke and Adam Smith. “Are they responsible too?” Geller asks.
Some bloggers also allege that one of Geller’s contributors, a writer named “Fjordman,” is really Breivik hiding behind a pseudonym. The Guardian has since disproved that accusation.
Geller also told TheDC that those allegations are not true. Fjordman is not Breivik, she says. Geller adds that she has not met or communicated with Breivik at all. Not ever.
“No dealings, no emails, no nothing,” Geller said. “He mentions me once in a 1,500 page ‘manifesto,’ and this is the tie? Does anyone see how completely ridiculous this whole thing is?
“This is a propaganda campaign and, if anything, it shows the true agenda of the media. I find it very revealing. It has nothing to do with me. Nothing.”
Geller added that the media-wide decision to label Breivik a conservative Christian doesn’t make sense. “He himself said he’s not a religious man,” Geller said “There’s nothing in Christianity that calls for this.”

Under Islamic Law Muslims Commit Genocide vs Christians in Iraq

The director of Hammurabi, named after the Code of Hammurabi, one of the oldest known collections of laws in human history, William Warda, said that constant monitoring and documentation show that all the Christian Churches in Iraq - Chaldeans, Assyrians, Syrians, Armenians - have suffered heavy losses in the number of their faithful, all over the country. The decline is particularly strong in Baghdad and Mosul, where Christians are concentrated in greater numbers. Warda said that in one year there were more than 90 Christians killed and 280 wounded, and two churches have been the target of attacks in Baghdad. According to UNICEF, between 2008 and 2010 more than 900 children have been killed in Iraq, and 3200 injured. Children represent the 8 .1% of the victims of attacks in Iraq, where there are an increasing number of attacks against schools and educators.

Mr. Younes delayed in protesting against the human rights abuses that ultimately murdered his wife. His eloquent account of her unnecessary suffering should touch people everywhere for it is universal.
Without human rights the spirit is born dead and the body follows quickly. The tragedy of such abuse is the inability of victims to overcome it.
First cousin marriage produces birth defects and a host of mental and physical infirmities. The culture reflects these aberrations in such activities as honor killings and the public stoning of innocents.

Since we both live in Israel, it is possible he has perceptions that I have missed. Our traditional foes have worked for centuries to destroy us, have enjoyed considerable success and have remained a threat to the present time. 
The lessons from their wicked deeds we have absorbed, as we have inculcated concentration camp attitudes into everyday life. Never trust anyone. Why tell the truth when you can lie? All governments and organizations betray Jews.
We should attend threats, but we shouldn't become obsessed with them. Our pundits are too clever by half. They simulate strategy and tactics clearly beyond the understanding of our enemies. Howling about violations of human rights, the first flotilla leaders had some propaganda success. However, they ruined it after they revealed their absolute ignorance of human rights.
Most of us Israelis do not have "Dracula fangs in the arteries." 

Does Israel Need Laws to Discourage Dissent?

Considering Muslims to be fellow human beings, I wish them well. Jews and non-Jews have the right to free speech on issues of concern to Israel. Passing laws to discourage dissent is very probably a poor idea harmful to our democracy.
As an Israeli, however, I highly resent the implications of the proposed laws concerning dissent. Would they discourage the anti-Semites who howl for our blood? Would they extend the Jewish experiment by a single hour?
Fourteen-hundred years of oppression and 63 years of violence in Israel indicate an absence of peace in our future.
Ari Sharon said we would be ostracized no matter what we did. So, we may as well guard our rights to free speech.

The Rise and Fall of America 1820 to 1970

From 1820 to 1970 the USA underwent unprecedented economic growth and prosperity. She became number one in just about everything. Attracted by this expansion huge numbers of immigrants surged to these shores to partake in the American Dream. By their work the economy grew and the workers benefited with wage increases from higher productivity. They climbed the ladder to the Middle Class.
When hated minorities claimed a few rungs on the ladder, a majority of Americans struck back at them with a vengeance. The sea change became apparent in the 1968 Presidential elections. The voters renounced the Civil Rights and anti-war movements. The Democratic Party and organized labor found disfavor.
The key result for our purposes was labor's loss of productivity wage increases. Beginning in 1970 real wages flat lined and have remained at a low level. To maintain a decent standard of living ordinary Americans sent their housewives to the labor force. This wrecked parenthood, prompted marriage dysfunction and inspired the government to build prisons for our children non-stop. The Police have degenerated into para-militarists who look upon citizens as enemy combatants.
Enriched by stealing productivity increases, the corporate and financial wizards rewarded themselves with outlandish salaries and socialistic benefits always denied workers. They feasted on under-manned regulatory agencies with a host of Ponzi schemes, stock fraud manipulations and financial bubbles to strip net worth from the public. The jobless and homeless offer little resistance. Others still barely afloat have little comprehension of what has happened to the country.
The wizards have executed their masterpiece by encouraging massive private and public debt. Strapped of income to maintain living standards, the public became credit card junkies. In effect, they are paying interest to borrow funds originally stolen from them.
The wizards hope the dysfunctional government will default on its debt obligations. If the Chinese are merciful, they will allow us to rent the homes and farms we formerly owned.

A Few Course Changes for Our Ailing Economy

The POTUS could start by invoking the 14th Amendment to raise the debt ceiling. Ruling by executive order, he can send the Congressmen, the Federal Reserve and the SCOTUS out to pasture. He can order the restructuring of the six largest banks and force the corporations to rehire former employees funded by the $1.9 trillions the CEO's sit upon. Homes seized by foreclosure should be returned without encumbrances to original defrauded owners. The banks should pay for needed repairs.
Private health insurers out of business, singlepayer should be instituted. The military should exhaust its 50-year spare parts inventory before asking for new hardware.

My major objection to wars is that we have lost three of them. We fight preemptively, as if we were too ashamed to admit our shortcomings as negotiators. Maybe, it is a function of a failed educational system. We can't cope with a different point of view.
Anyway, we lost our Republic in 1950 when Harry S. Truman radically increased "defense" spending to oppose the Red Menace.
Since then, we have lost our liberty in a much slower process. Suffice it to say we no longer shape our military destiny. In the Nuclear Age, the only enemy is war itself.

The US economy echoes free market principles rarely. Our recent Independence Day rhetoric showed our reverence for bygone economic and personal freedoms more myth than fact.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch can be a loyal boss to favored lieutenants. And few have been more favored than Rebekah Brooks. The 43-year-old has risen at dazzling speed through the Murdoch editorial hierarchy, editing two of his national papers before her appointment in 2009 as chief executive of his U.K. operation, News International. Famous for her charm (as well as a head of flaming-red hair), Brooks is said to be a close Murdoch family friend as well as a trusted subordinate.
But loyalty must have its limits. Prometheus: The New Barbarian Manifesto by Ian Angell

So the New Barbarian Manifesto was about the eternal struggle between the individual and the collective. It was not a work of science fiction or cyberpunk. It was not steeped in Star Wars, Star Trek, Neuromancer, Mad Max or Blade Runner. And even though the Times, the Guardian, and the Independent all called me the ‘Angell of Doom’, the book was not written as an example millenarian doom and gloom.

The ideas underpinning the book were not post-modern, not even modern. They were not twenty first century ideas, not even twentieth century. Some will have gathered that from the title of the book The New Barbarian Manifesto, which was inspired by that much maligned German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, whom I claim predicted, one hundred and twenty years, ago the rise of the Information Rich Knowledge workers, and the reaction of their fellows:

“But now there are coming New Barbarians {cynics, experimenters, conquerors}, a union of spiritual superiority with well-being and an excess of strength. … Prometheus was this kind of barbarian.”

Last week I reported here at Atlas that the Obama regime had placed Israel on the list of countries that support terrorism -- while removing North Korea.
Lots of people doubted the story, saying that even O, for all his disdain for Israel, wouldn't go that far. Well, now the Administration has admitted it, and the Obama camp is backpedaling furiously, saying it was all a "mistake."
Why is it that this Administration's "mistakes" always go in one direction? Obama has never made the "mistake" that goes against the Islamic world and favors Israel or any other free nation. And this "mistake" just happens to coincide with all his bullying and demonizing of Israel that has been consistent throughout his disastrous presidency.

Now Natalie Nichols, a newly elected county clerk in Texas, is fighting back against a rogue court that actually voted to remove the Pledge of Allegiance and an opening prayer from the court's official records. She refuses to do it, has made it her official stance and is now actually being threatened with legal action by a representative of the district attorney's office. But Nichols is standing firm: She has stated that she would rather be removed from office than acquiesce to this.
Of course, the district attorney is a Democrat. Nichols, who was inspired to go into politics by watching Sarah Palin in 2008, was the first-ever Republican woman elected to a county-wide office in the history of Bowie County, Texas. "Since our county's been in existence," she told me, "it was just understood that if you wanted to run for office, you ran as a Democrat or you had no chance." The land of windmills and tulips grew a pair in June and officially tabled legislation that effectively says to the Religion of Peace, “We are tired of bowing and kissing your Holland-hating-religious-freak ring. So, with all due respect, please assimilate to our particulars or we will shove a wooden shoe up your backside and deport you back to Suckistan.” No offense, of course.

It appears as if the Dutch’s daftness in buying into the Kumbayah approach to relating with this wonderful, serene faith has bit ‘em in their own Euro butts.
Indeed, the sweet immigrants from Asia and Africa who, supposedly, simply wanted to expand the market for shawarma wraps in a fairer clime all of the sudden grew fangs when they got to Utrecht, became culturally defiant to Dutch distinctiveness and started killing the Netherlands’ national celebrities. Arnhem, we have a problem.
Garsh, who saw that comin’? Who’d a thunk it, Milly? Those criminal and cantankerous acts aimed at Dutch citizens are the mirror opposite of the PR that the PC police pummeled the Dutch with. Therefore now, because of the hell the greatest religion ever, ever, ever has levied on the land of levees, the Netherlands has been left with no other option but to say nevermore to multicultural yumminess.

Anti-Semitic Ad Switzerland

The Jewish community in Switzerland is outraged after an ad for a Swiss national independence day party featured a bizarre image: A doll of a man who is wearing a yarmulke. The man, which is overtly Jewish, also has the Israeli flag painted on him and…an arrow pierced threw his head.
The image of what appears to be a dead Jew has sparked quite a bit of anger. Swiss reports claim that the GNC, a local anti-Semitic and anti-Israel group is behind the creation and dissemination of the ad. YNetNews.com has more:

“This is a call for the murder of Jews,” said Jonah Gurfinkel. Sabine Simkhovitch-Dreyfus, deputy director of the Jewish community federation said: “A red line has been crossed.
GNC member claimed the ad was directed against the Israeli government, but Dreyfus rejected his claims saying, “Sadly the arrow on the forehead does not leave a shadow of a doubt.” Jewish groups are now considering a lawsuit against the GNC.

In response, Jewish groups may consider a lawsuit.

A group of well-known figures in the Jewish community has been in discussions with senior Obama adviser David Axelrod about how to respond to the criticism, which is expected to intensify as the campaign heats up. Among them: Alan Solow, the former head of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations; former Congressmen Mel Levine and Robert Wexler; and executive Penny Pritzker.
