Floods Reveal Bangkok Crocodiles

Thailand's capital, Bangkok, has already been hit with its worst flooding in 50 years—and now it has to deal with huge crocodiles and poisonous snakes? Special teams from the Thai Fisheries Department have had to respond to numerous reports about crocodiles that have either escaped from the country's estimated 3,000 croc farms or moved into the city's outskirts as residents move out. But some of the reports could have been about giant monitor lizards, which are generally harmless. Calls about some of the world's most poisonous snakes have also spiked.
